Firmware Development for Door Entry System

PSA’s partnership with TouchPad Electronics brings its first benefits – a new joint project with a customer who is a telecommunications and security solution provider, focused on wireless nurse call systems for senior care facilities and retirement communities. After only five years on the market, their systems are installed in hundreds of buildings across the U.S. and Canada.

Within the framework of the project, PSA is expected to be involved in the firmware development for a door entry system, while TouchPad will be designing and developing the hardware. The system under development is a wall-mounted wireless access control keypad used for security door monitoring, access and alarming. All events (key presses, door operations, etc.) are wirelessly transmitted to a central station facility for monitoring.

Representatives of both companies made an onsite customer visit in order to collect software requirements and perform knowledge transfer on the product.
